Ronnie Romero & John Steel

Ronnie Romero plays with John Steel on 30 August 2026 at Bunardzhika Summer Theatre in Plovdiv. Doors 18:00, show 19:00. Affection and Coven 5 open. Tickets: EasyPay and EPAYGO.

Why this concert matters

Romero is the last major voice on the Rainbow line after Dio and Coverdale. He is not a Dio stand-in. He sings high, works constantly and keeps classic hard rock in circulation without turning it into a museum set.

The night is tied to John Steel, not a one-off studio supergroup. The open theatre pushes it toward a summer show, not a cramped club date.

For anyone following Deep Purple–Rainbow, this is the living link to that repertoire now. It is not the 1970s lineup. That is why the date adds to the story instead of impersonating it.

What to expect from the set

Rainbow, Lords of Black and solo cuts are all realistic. Do not treat it as a full Dio tribute. He usually mixes classics with newer songs.

Support is before 19:00. If you are coming only for the headliner, still go in early. The theatre fills slowly, then the gates jam just before the main set.

Practical information

Outdoor stage. Check the weather and bring a layer after sunset. The seats are not club seats — if your back cares, skip the first empty gap.

After the show Bunardzhika and the centre get busy. If you are travelling in, plan the return before transport thins out.
