⚡ Ozzfest is back! After a long hiatus, the legendary metal festival founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne will officially take place again in 2027 – first in the UK, and then in the US.

🇬🇧 The UK Return: Villa Park, Birmingham

Ozzfest 2027 will launch with a two-day event at Villa Park in Birmingham – the home of Aston Villa Football Club and Ozzy Osbourne's hometown [BBC]. It is the same venue that hosted the historic "Back To The Beginning" concert in July 2025 – the final live performance of Ozzy and Black Sabbath, which drew 40,000 fans and a star-studded lineup of legends influenced by the founders of heavy metal [BBC].

Sharon Osbourne shared on The Osbournes podcast: "We want to do two days at Aston Villa and then come to America. We want to hear from everyone where we should go in America." [Radio X] She added that the festival won't be a traveling event in 2027, but there are tentative plans to take it on the road in 2028 and beyond, provided there is enough demand [Blabbermouth].

🇺🇸 Ozzfest Is Coming to the US Too

After the UK return was announced earlier this year, Ozzfest's official Instagram profile confirmed that the festival will also take place in the United States in 2027. The teaser shows the Ozzfest logo with the UK and US flags and the message: "Ozzfest will come to the UK and US" [Blabbermouth].

For now, the date and location of the US edition have not yet been announced, nor has the lineup. Sharon Osbourne said it will be a one-day event and asked fans to share where they think it should be held [Blabbermouth].

🗣️ Sharon emphasized that the festival will focus on young, new talent, because "that's what Ozzy would want." She even shared that she would like to see Rob Halford of Judas Priest on the Ozzfest 2027 stage [Blabbermouth].

📖 The History of Ozzfest

The festival was founded in 1996 by Sharon Osbourne after Ozzy was rejected by Lollapalooza. It initially started as a two-day event in Arizona and California, and later became a US tour. Over the years, the Ozzfest stage has hosted legends such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slipknot, System Of A Down, Linkin Park, Korn, and Disturbed [Billboard]. The last edition took place on December 31, 2018, at The Forum in Inglewood, California – just a month before Ozzy fell ill [Billboard].

🎟️ Deep Purple are coming to Bulgaria! The concert is on September 29, 2026, at Arena Armeec – Sofia. Tickets via Eventim.
